![]() ![]() The world is so fond of saying that books should be “treated with respect”. The sooner technology comes up with a reliable alternative the better. Trefusis himself was highly dismissive of them. And then, just when an observer might be lured into thinking that that must be it, more books. Trefusis's quarters could be described in one word. 1983, Steve Horelick & al., " Reading Rainbow":.For example: no book can be a ladder, although no doubt there are books which discuss and negate and demonstrate this possibility and others whose structure corresponds to that of a ladder. I repeat: it suffices that a book be possible for it to exist. 1962, James East Irby translating Luis Borges as " The Library of Babel":.We can not reiterate how much this topic is wrongfully shared between the crew communities and that’s one of the points that we’ve created this website: to only share the truthfully most information that we can in order to assist you in your career on board.Knowing I lou'd my bookes, he furniſhd me / From mine owne Library, with volumes, that / I prize aboue my Dukedome. What we point out its the fact that having a seaman’s book or not does not allow crew members to carry extra pieces of luggage nor extra weight other than what is stipulated by the airline companies. This is such a vast topic that we can stay here talking about different airlines, nationalities and so on and not reach into any conclusion at all. (That’s 56kg of luggage that can’t be charged). Argentinians as on most airlines are being allowed to carry 2x checked bags of 23kgs plus a carry on bag of up to 10kg plus a personal item of undisclosed weight as long as it fits underneath the seat. Some airlines also have different allowances than others. Lastly, we would like to point out that some people from certain nationalities have different rights than others. That’s the only mention to luggage allowance on MLC, and we truly believe that’s when the rumors about crew being able to carry excess luggage without being charged unfortunately started. “transportation of 30 kg of the seafarers’ personal luggage to the repatriation destination”. Yachting companies and private yachts often give them out as well, as they’re a very important part of someone’s career. On NCL, you have to ask the HR department for one.
